Signal cones, diffusers, and flashlight filters
A diffuser transforms a focused beam into a soft, even light source: placed over the head of the flashlight, it eliminates the hot spot for reading a map, pitching a tent, or working at 50 cm without glare. The signaling cone, made of translucent silicone, extends this diffusion and makes the light visible from a distance, set on the ground or fitted on the tail cap to mark a vehicle or gathering point.
Diameter, colors, and materials
Selection is made by head diameter, typically 20 to 45 mm, with a soft silicone that holds by friction without scratching the anodizing. Each colored filter serves a specific purpose: red to preserve night vision and map reading, green for observation, blue to follow a trail, amber against glare in haze. Compatible lights are grouped in the lights and portable lighting section.
