Graters
In a kitchen, the grater is an essential utensil for grating citrus fruits, vegetables, cheese or other foods.
The different grater blades
Designed for specific functions, a grater also has distinctly different blades
The fine grain grater
Equipped with several fine holes, it is mainly used to subtly enhance flavors in a preparation, to perfect a dessert or decorate a pastry. A fine grain grater is used to cut cloves, nutmeg, but also to grate shelled nuts, chocolate, etc.
The coarse grater
It allows large pieces to be taken while maintaining a certain fineness. Thanks to wider and fewer cells, this type of grater allows for coarser grating. It is suitable for vegetables with firm flesh and foods intended for cooking.
The cheese grater
It has cells adapted for cheeses for better flavor preservation. Quick and easy to use, it allows for better distribution of the cheese.
The double-edged grater
Allows thin slices to be cut and is suitable for zucchini, cabbage or cheeses. A double-edged grater can therefore create shavings of chocolate, fruit or vegetables.
The zesting grater
To obtain citrus zest in ribbon or powder form, this grater blade is suitable. It is also used to grate chocolate, varieties of cheese, ginger and spices.
Grater maintenance
Each grater has its own usage precautions regarding cleaning. It is advisable to wipe the grater immediately after washing it.
