The electric wood chisel is a variant of the wood chisel. It was launched on the market a few years ago and continues to gain more and more functionalities. This portable electric tool is a model in a format slightly larger than a mini-drill. But it stands out on several criteria:

The handle

The housing that encloses the mechanism of an electric wood chisel is integrated into the handle. It serves to deliver striking impulses to the tang. On some models, the motor can be placed outside the housing.

The tang

Unlike the tang with which the manual wood chisel is equipped, the tang of the electric wood chisel is shorter. It measures approximately between 2 to 6 cm and fits into the chuck of the housing.

The blade

On an electric wood chisel, the blade as well as the tang have a much smaller width than manual models.
