Morakniv Floating Knife Fixed Blade

Fixed blade knife Morakniv Floating Knife blade length 90 mm cork cork/green handle

A fixed blade knife is admired by its users due to its versatile nature. While other types of knives are generally limited in their capabilities, a good fixed blade knife is capable of performing a multitude of tasks, from wood carving to striking steel for fire, to food processing. Fixed blade knives will always be a better choice, depending on what you think the day has in store for you. You can pair them with rougher outdoor work, such as field dressing a deer, digging, splitting, and preparing food.
There is no replacement for a good fixed blade knife. When working in the wild, a fixed blade knife is often a better choice than a folding knife. They are more robust, stronger, and can often be abused to a degree that no pocket knife could ever withstand.
